MARC LEVEY, Co-Founder and Director

Over the past 15 years, Marc has developed and produced entertainment and philanthropic properties in television, film, live events, broadband and mobile platforms for companies including Warner Bros., the ESPN Networks, The Walt Disney Company and non-profit organizations including Amnesty International, The Elders and ActionAid.

Mixing art with advocacy, Marc, along with producing partner and world renowned aerial artist John Quigley, have created a number of global, grassroots media campaigns including Circle Up Now in 2008 and Spectral Q’s Aerial Art Mosaic for 350 in 2009, both breaking world records for most concurrently produced human aerial art installations in a single day.

Marc has served on the National Board of Directors for the Producers Guild of America. He also served as the Founding Chairman of the PGA’s New Media Council where he helped guide the 70-year old organization into the digital era by broadening its recognition, representation and protection of producers working in “non-traditional” media.

Fluent in Japanese, Marc worked in marketing and licensing for Warner Bros. Japan in the late 80’s helping launch Batman and Spielberg¹s Tiny Toon Adventures into Asia.

He is a published author and speaker on topics related to the integration and optimization of content captured and distributed across multiple media platforms. Along with his commitment to the Producers Guild of America, Marc is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the Digital Coast Round Table.

MICHAEL TAUS, Co-Founder and Director

Michael is the principal of Aquo, an agile software development and digital marketing company that specializes in entrepreneurial ventures. Since 1996, Michael has been starting and managing rapid-growth technology businesses with an emphasis on Internet, Telecom, wireless and software ventures. He has participated in the founding, development, financing and management of several early-stage technology companies, including officer and board-level positions. He has maintained a broad range of professional responsibilities including strategic planning, finance, operations, marketing and corporate governance.

In 1999, he co-founded and was the VP, Business Development and General Counsel of (acquired by NASDAQ:EBAY). Former client companies include In-Sync Interactive,, Genutec and FlyFone International. He has also participated in early stage investments including Internet Brands (NASDAQ:INET), HiMax, GoMed, Electron Networks and others.

Michael has an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of California, Irvine and a Juris Doctorate degree from the McGeorge School of Law.

DAVID HINKLEY, Director, Non-profit & NGO Advisor

With over 35 years experience in the advancement of global causes including human rights, civil rights and social equality, David is an award-winning advocate and author in the fight against injustice. He has dedicated his life to education, empowerment and philanthropy.

His work in organizing, movement building and policy-making has taken him to more than 20 countries on five continents. He is a respected lecturer and speaker throughout the world on the topics of human rights and social justice.

Among the numerous roles throughout his career, David has served on the Board of Directors of Amnesty International USA, and as its Chairperson from 1978 to 1980.  He has also served as co-founding member and organizer of Amnesty International’s Western Region.  He is an experienced writer of foundational grants and proposals which have raised millions of dollars in support of the organizations that he has worked with.

SHAWN GOLD, Marketing Advisor

Shawn Gold is CEO of consumer start-up, a 21st century lifestyle brand, to communicate, manage and plan “celebrations”. Formerly, he was CMO, head of marketing & content for MySpace. At MySpace Gold spearheaded the development and implementation of marketing initiatives and campaigns for MySpace’s more than 110 million users worldwide.

Gold has over 16 years of experience in digital marketing and content strategy, including serving as publisher of WeblogsInc, the largest publisher of professional blogs on the Web (now an AOL company). Gold has served as head of strategic planning at Rare Medium where he created the inaugural interactive communication strategies for P&G, General Foods, Mattel and Nestle.

In 1995, Shawn was GM and Founder of Icon New media’s Advertising Division, publishing and There he created the first interstitial ads on the web and an industry-leading advertising system based on time rotation and contextual integration He is a founding board member of the Producers Guild of America’s New Media Council and author of The Guide to Laughing at Life book series that promotes wellness through laughter.

JOHN QUIGLEY, Campaign & Action Advisor

John Quigley is an internationally known Artist, Producer, and Activist. His unique mix of human installation and aerial photography brings together communities to create large-scale messages for the common good. Focusing on themes of health, human rights, social justice, ecological balance, democracy, and freedom, his work strives to liberate the spirit and inspire unity through creative participation.

He has created more than 150 Aerial Art images involving over 150,000 people on 7 continents. Locations have ranged from the Amazon Rainforest, Antarctica, the Arctic, London, Geneva, Athens, Delhi, Johannesburg, Copenhagen, Bonn, Victoria, Toronto, Vancouver, Ireland, Mexico, Peru, Australia, Java, Bali, Chile, Ecuador, Brazil, Alaska, the United Nations in New York, Los Angeles, and cities across the United States.

In 2008, as co-creator of Circle Up Now, he began his Icon Series with aerial portraits of Nelson Mandela (as part of the 90th Birthday celebrations in South Africa) and Martin Luther King Jr. on behalf of Amnesty International, The Elders, and Action Aid. Future Icons will include John Lennon, Mahatma Gandhi, Cesar Chavez, the Dalai Lama, and Aung San Suu Kyi.

At the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, he worked with Earth Day International to produce the largest public event at the Summit, the World Walk in Copacabana.  He has worked with virtually every major environmental organization in the US, including serving on the national and international Boards for Earth Day.  Today he continues to serve as Executive Director of Earth Day Los Angeles.  He also serves as an Amazon Watch Ambassador and on the board of the Whaleman Foundation.

LISA DEPASQUALE, Public Health Advisor

Lisa DePasquale has a masters degree in Public Health from Tulane University and has a long history of philanthropic work.  Over the years her areas of involvement in non-profit organizations have included social marketing as well as managing and producing outreach and awareness campaigns.   Lisa served as associate producer for Circle Up Now’s  “Global Day of Action” and “Freedom From Hunger” international events and has helped to form their experiential education programs through application of proven behavior change theories.
